Community

When given the title community the first thing that came to my mind was people, so I went out into
my local community and explored different ways in which I could try and capture the
essence of community with single portraits of its members. I also wanted to capture large shots
with people that don't even know each other but are part of a larger community.
Wanting to move away from people and photograph some new subject matter I started
photographing peoples homes, presenting them as being representative of the people who
reside in them.

From A to B

In this first idea I move on from documenting the interiors of derelict houses and explore methods in
which I can capture the area around me whilst going on walks around it. Whether this is by
limiting my self to one roll of film per journey or saying that I will take a photograph every 100
paces. I also explore different ways of photographing the locations ranging from macro
close-ups to long panoramic photographs.

From Behind the Camera

This project was initially going to simply look at ways of documenting and capturing moments in my
own life and see how I changed over time. But I wanted to also see how this differed when
photographing other people that I see everyday. I then go on to explore the use of video in
recording a persons personality.

Passions and Obsessions (Exam Work)

In this folder lies the work for my exam around the theme of passions and obsessions.
